Abdulla Bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, stated that the UAE places a high value on investing in young talent, believing that they are the primary drivers of long-term development in a variety of fields, including the media. He emphasised the importance of equipping and preparing young people to confront future problems.
These observations were made during Al Hamed’s meeting with a group of media students in the UAE, attended by Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Director General of NMO, Emirati media professional Ahmed Salem, and other academics.
The meeting focused on empowering young media professionals, preparing them to integrate and actively contribute to the media industry, and the influence of advanced technical transformations and changes on the media sector.
At the outset of the meeting, the NMO Chairman stated that national media plays an important role in raising social consciousness and steering it towards national goals. He stated that the media is more than just a means for spreading news; it is also a key driver of community development, a promoter of national ideals, and an advocate for sustainable development.
