In April of this year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally invited Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, to come to the nation. In a meeting with Sheikh Hamdan on Wednesday, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar extended the offer.
Sheikh Hamdan welcomed Jaishankar and his delegation and underlined the close cultural, social, economic, and developmental links that have existed between the UAE and India for centuries.
Sheikh Hamdan further emphasised the ongoing development of UAE-Indian ties under the direction of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both parties discussed ways to strengthen their multifaceted bilateral collaboration throughout the discussion, with an emphasis on areas that are essential to the two nations’ future goals.
The talks underlined how crucial it is to improve trade flows and investment opportunities by utilising the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to further deepen economic connections.
